Happy adoption day Cleo!

Always so bittersweet 🥹Thank you JC and Melissa for adopting her! And thank you to Feral At Heartfor having me bring her to the home/garden/pet show where she initially met her adopters.

They will be spayed/neutered tomorrow, and then released. Wish I could keep them all 😮‍💨One day I’ll have a farm with rescued barn kitties. For now my mission is to help keep the population down (along with a few other ladies I know) to help break this sad cycle. So bittersweet. Maybe it does take one to know one… P.S. cover was already off when I got there, even with stuff weighing it down, the wind and kitty managed to tuck the cover in the trap.#spay #neuter #spayandneuter #feral #cats #feralcat

Lenny, my late cats’ story.

Another heartbreaking situation. Otra situación desgarradora.

Came across these pups while at the Tuesday market when I was in Mexico last month. One lady said they’re supposedly kept there to guard the empty lot… they didn’t look in bad shape but the lot has a lot of trash and it doesn’t feel fair to them to be used like this. I published it in several Facebook groups in the area to see if anyone has any input on how to go about this cruel situation.

Me encontré con estos cachorros por el mercado de los martes. Una señora dijo que se suponía que debían permanecer allí para mantener el terreno vacío... no se veían mal, pero el terreno tiene mucha basura y no me parece justo que se aprovechen de ellos de esta manera. Lo publiqué en varios grupos de Facebook del área para ver si alguien tiene alguna opinión sobre cómo manejar esta cruel situación.

Update: I went back to the area and was able to talk to the lady whose family takes care of the lot and said they were her husband’s… I told her I might be interested in adopting perhaps the parents in case it’s a breeding situation. If they’re still doing this next time I go to Mexico, probably summer, I hope to get the dogs out and into adoption!
