Hey Friends,

Summer is in full swing and wow I cannot believe we are 6 months into the year!! This month has been jam packed with: NICKS, PRIDE, World Cup, Juneteenth, Puerto Rican Parade etc.! I keep wondering why we don’t spread out the joy a little more, nothing happy happens in April (ew!)

7:30am Xpress Vinyasa & 8:30am Xpress Pilates , 2pm Baby & Me , 6pm Pilates

Thursdays:
7am Vinyasa @ Shambhala

Park Yoga this weekend!

9:30 - 10:40am Vinyasa Flow
This class is the whole sha-BANG! Vinyasa style class aimed at dance-y sequencing, generous stretches, strength and breathwork imbued with feelings of grounding, joy and serenity.

Park Yoga this weekend!!

11:00am - 12pm Park Postnatal

Find community as you adjust to your new life and get reacquainted with your non-pregnant body. In postnatal yoga, we work to address both the physical and emotional challenges that come with this early stage of parenthood. For folks who are 4+ weeks postpartum.

Each class works to strengthen areas that may need of extra support and release tension in areas that are strained by the new duties of early parenthood.

Park Yoga this weekend!!

4:10-5:10pm Baby & Me Flow

Take time for yourself and your baby as you move through a holistic yoga practice. This class gently stabilizes the joints, builds up heat and strength in the muscles with standing poses as well as core work, and winds down to release tension with sweet restorative postures. Connect with yourself on a deeper physical, mental, and emotional level while connecting in a meaningful and fun way with your baby. For folks who are 5+ weeks postpartum.

This class is more of standard Baby and me style session where we will do more yoga that involves baby and perhaps even use them in our fitness experience.

When warm June days in Brooklyn don’t smell like too many hot bodies close together, trash left out, or a party down the block, it smells like these. The perfume of linden blossoms is heady and sweet. Under the canopy of silvered leaves the shade smells of warm honey, and hay.

Linden Blossoms are used in perfume and in tea to ease anxiety, nervous tension, and promote sleep.

Look up and look around! These trees are probably on your block!

Try doing a calming pranayama ( ) under them!

June 1st is TOMORROW! I am adjusting the Park Yoga schedule slightly.

If you have been in class with me recently, or a private session, you might know that I have been navigating some pelvic pain and some over use injuries. As I take the time to go to PT (something I tell you all to do all the time) and care for my body, I also need to carve out some time to rest. It is just me teaching all of you, and I love it so much. But I need to make sure I care for me, so I can care for all of you.

This all means that there will be fewer Park Yoga classes on the schedule for June. Join me in the park:

Tuesdays: 7:30am Xpress Vinyasa & 8:30am Xpress Pilates
Sundays: 9:30am Vinyasa, 11am Postnatal, 4pm Baby & Me
