We had a wonderful day celebrating the grand opening of Nine Peaks! Thank you to everyone who joined us to mark this exciting milestone and welcome 45 new affordable workforce housing homes to Bend.
We are incredibly grateful to our partners, funders, community leaders, Board of Commissioners, staff, and everyone who helped bring Nine Peaks from an idea to a place people can now call home. Affordable housing is about more than creating places to live—it’s about creating opportunities for people to put down roots, build stability, and belong in the communities they call home. 💛🏡
Thank you for celebrating with us and for continuing to support our mission of Fostering Dignity Through Housing.

Yesterday we got to celebrate something Central Oregon needs a lot more of: deeply affordable housing.

Housing Works officially opened Nine Peaks, bringing 45 new affordable rental homes to Bend. 👏👏👏

At Habitat, we spend a lot of time thinking about affordable homeownership. But homeownership is only one part of the housing continuum. Housing Works serves households at a different, and absolutely critical, part of that spectrum.

Their ability to provide deep affordability helps people stabilize, stay housed, and in some cases eventually move toward homeownership. We’ve had former Housing Works residents and voucher holders become Habitat homeowners, which makes this partnership feel especially tangible to us.

There is no single solution to our housing challenges. Progress happens when every part of the system gets stronger.

Really glad to see another 45 homes added to that system. Congratulations to the Housing Works team and everyone who helped make Nine Peaks happen.

📢 Office Closure Notice: Housing Works will be closed on Monday, September 14 as we finish settling into our new office. We look forward to welcoming you soon! 🏡✨

📢 Aviso de cierre: Housing Works estará cerrado el lunes 14 de septiembre mientras terminamos de instalarnos en nuestra nueva oficina. ¡Esperamos darles la bienvenida muy pronto! 🏡✨

So grateful for our wonderful community partners! 💛🏡 It was such a joy to celebrate the opening of Nine Peaks and 45 new affordable homes for families in Central Oregon. Thank you, Bend-Redmond Habitat, for celebrating alongside us and for all you do to strengthen our community! 🎉
