Lunch vibes

Whenever my brain tries to knock me down, I remember the beauty of new growth.

Finally pulled some rendered out of the freezer to experiment with . Shout out to for teaching me how to cold process soap.

First two batches are:

Very Berry Smoothie, made with lard, olive oil, coconut oil, homemade Greek yogurt, blueberry juice, banana, and dried fruit for texture

Cafe au Lait (my first attempt at layering... more to come), made with lard, coffee, and ground coffee beans for texture

The 100% lard soap almost killed my immersion blender it took so long to come to trace (did it even? I'm not 100% certain 🤷🏾‍♀️), but it was a fun experiment. And it's so nice to know I'm keeping the memory of my pigs alive through this endeavor.

Stay tuned... I'll be trying hibiscus flower and lavender soaps in flower molds next.

I'll probably have some of these for sale at the Bend farmers market this season. Hurray.

Feels like the just ended and yet here we are planting again. So stoked for a new year of !
