Cannot believe it’s Friday already! This week has flown by getting orders packed and shipped and kicking butt trying to get ready to be open soon. These days if I am not covered in fibers, it’s saw dust and paint🤪 Reflecting this Friday on how much I loved getting to be a part of a collaborative photo shoot last month and am swooning over the capture of my pieces and the entire styling. Not too many people know that my creative journey started out with weaving.
So when I started to dream about what this collaboration would look like, it was decided that weaving and multiple textures would somehow be involved. Having laid down this form of fiber art for 2 years to focus on macrame, journeying back into weaving was then vulnerable and intimidating. But that’s art isn’t it? Vulnerability. Last week was stretching to say the least but what was able to be pulled out of me through the encouragement, collaboration and vision from other artisans was nothing short of inspiring. Thank you to everyone who participated in this amazing shoot and special thanks to .co for encouraging me to push myself into the unknown and find beauty.

It’s Friday and I couldn’t be more ready to step into the weekend! Fun fact: I am heading into my third year of trying to convince my husband to buy me a baby alpaca for my birthday, not that I need anything more to feed into my crazy obsession with all things fiber and texture, but a girl can dream☺️ In the meantime I will continue to buy my fibers as local possible and upcylcle anything I can get my little hands on. This extra large textured piece I made for my beautiful sister’s wedding and 90% of it is made out of upcycled materials and my scraps. This piece is 26ft wide and even though it took many many hours it is definitely my most rewarding piece this last year✨ .

Sending some of these beauties out the door today...no better way to love on your plants ❤️❤️.
