Attention MFT Trainees and future Associates β understanding the 90-Day Rule is ESSENTIAL to protecting your hours and staying compliant with the BBS. π
π‘ Hereβs what you need to know:
β οΈ 90-Day Rule Limitations:
The 90-day rule ONLY applies to employment in exempt settings such as:
β’ Nonprofits
β’ Schools
β’ Government entities
β
You must also complete a Live Scan before earning post-degree hours under this rule.
π« Important:
You CANNOT work in a private practice or professional corporation until you have your official associate registration number IN HAND from the BBS.
π What Do You Need To Do?
β Complete Live Scan fingerprinting for EACH employer before earning post-degree hours
β Keep a copy of every completed βRequest for Live Scan Serviceβ form in a safe place
β Submit copies of those forms with your Application for Licensure
β Do NOT submit them with your Associate application
