Being a landlord is amazing… until you get the “there’s water coming up through the floor” phone call first thing in the morning. 😂
That was my morning today.
Luckily, what sounded like it could be a complete disaster at my duplex turned out to be a failed water heater. Not ideal, but definitely one of the better outcomes.
Real estate investing has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, but this is the side people don’t always show you. Sometimes s**t happens. Things break. Unexpected expenses come up. And occasionally your plans for the day go completely out the window.
Having good people on your team makes ALL the difference. Huge shoutout to my plumber Buffalo Barrett for answering immediately, getting out there, and always taking great care of me and my properties. 🙌
Still wouldn’t trade being a landlord. Just maybe could’ve done without the indoor swimming pool this morning.
