Each Kendrick Lamar album represents a form of Media.

Section.80 - a novel/book: Sat around the campfire telling stories from different people’s perspectives. Some tracks are called “Chapters”.

GKMC - a short film: Whole album is like a linear story about Kendrick growing up in Compton. Last track is like the end credits of Kendrick leaving Compton. The skits throughout the album.

TPAB - a poem: The poem throughout the album is part of a letter to Tupac. In the vinyl it says “a letter by Kendrick Lamar”. The themes and poetic writing of the album.

DAMN. - a magazine/satire play: Every song is in caps with a period in the end, which is how scenes are formatted in a script. So each song is a scene in the play. Even in the Grammy performance he had “a satire by Kendrick Lamar” written.
It also matches a typical magazine covering a vast array of subjects, including news, fashion, sports, hobbies, advice etc.

MM&TBS - a theatrical play: The album uses a lot of dialogue and explores different perspectives, fitting the idea of a stage production.

GNX - a mixtape: Compilation of favorite pieces of music, typically by many different artists, recorded on to tape or another medium by an individual.

Future Albums: We might see some of these forms: TV, Journalism, Blog, Radio etc.
