A proud Shasta High grad (Class of '94 🐺) and Shasta College alum, Chris has spent 20+ years in law enforcement and now serves as a Lieutenant with the Shasta County Sheriff's Office.

When he's not on the job, you'll find him chasing around his two boys, exploring NorCal's great outdoors, or geeking out on local Redding history 📚 — he's been known to take his kids to historical sites for an impromptu history lesson!

Meet Tyler Rowley, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones. A Redding resident since 2003 with advanced designations as an Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist, Tyler builds financial plans that help businesses and individuals reach their goals. Off the clock, he's enjoying the outdoors with his wife Summer and their child.

Meet Trevor Blosser, owner of Boundary Waters Screenprinting, Splendor Coaching, and Splendid Creations. A multifaceted entrepreneur with multiple AA degrees from Shasta College, Trevor blends creativity and practicality across every venture. He's a devoted husband and father of two daughters, and an active volunteer in multiple community ministries.

Meet Teporaca Roadrunner, Field Representative for California's 1st Assembly District. A 24-year Redding resident, Teporaca brings a service-first mindset shaped by 11 years coaching softball, 5 years coaching football, and ongoing volunteer work with Samaritan's Purse disaster relief. He believes in leading by example — action over words.

Meet Stacy Baxter, founder of Magnolia Homes. With $100M+ in lifetime sales and a degree in psychology, Stacy has guided clients of all backgrounds with compassion and strategy — from first-time buyers to single parents searching for security. She's also a passionate adoption advocate and champion for Haven Humane long-term shelter dogs.

Meet Shauna Bambino, Executive Director of the Shasta Library Foundation. A Redding native with a degree from Texas Tech, Shauna returned home to raise her family and run a home-based bakery. Two years ago she stepped into her current role — promoting the love of learning while raising funds for Shasta Public Libraries.

Meet Rick Young, Assistant Chief with Cal OES. A North Coast native with 35 years in fire management, Rick retired from the federal government in 2023 after a distinguished 33-year career. He now also teaches as a fire management subject matter expert at Shasta College — bringing decades of incident command experience to the next generation.

For Environment & Recreation Day last week, the class spent the day exploring how environment and recreation shape the quality of life in our community—starting with a simple but powerful question:

💭 “It is the year 2045, and Redding has become one of California’s premier outdoor destinations. What decision made that possible?”

The morning focused on the environmental systems that create the space to live and play 🌎 The class heard from leaders across land management, fire safety, and water conservation—including partners from Sierra Pacific Industries, Shasta Land Trust, Bureau of Land Management, City Parks, Shasta Dam, Coleman National Fish Hatchery, and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.

The group then transitioned into hands-on recreation experiences 🎣🚴‍♂️🌿
From fly casting with Hooked on Healing, to riding the bike park with the Redding Trail Alliance, to exploring the Turtle Bay arboretum—bringing to life how people connect with the environment every day.

In the afternoon, the class headed to Redding Sports Park ⚾ and heard from local leaders in sports and recreation, toured the complex, and jumped into a little friendly competition on the field.

The day concluded with a future-focused panel and think tank session 🧠 revisiting the 2045 question and exploring what it will take to continue growing Redding as a destination for outdoor recreation.

His goal is a safer, more connected Anderson — built on collaboration, innovation, and deep service to a diverse and vibrant community.

Meet Megan Snyker, Office Administrator at the Economic Development Corporation of Shasta County. Originally from Ohio, Megan moved to Redding 13 years ago and never looked back. She brings creative energy and sharp organizational skills to supporting regional growth — and outside of work, you'll find her doing floral design, reading, or hosting friends.
