July - LAR training! The Ground & Jeep Teams successfully “teamed up” again to practice low angle rescue (LAR) rope rigging. Rescuers were sent down a steep bank to the “patient.” The patient was evaluated and first aid administered. The patient was then placed in a stokes litter and hoisted up. All anchors were anchored off of jeeps in order to help hoist the patient up the steep bank using a 5:1 pulley system with a safety backup. Photo credits: Stacy Asher, Cody Bryant & Clint Cronic.
