My first work ACCEPTED to the SPRING SHOW at the Academy of Art University San Francisco. I missed the “new student” art fair, so entries include some amazing works by more advanced students.

My creative writing for my Artist’s Statement surely contributed:

As a first time art student, my desire is to learn the basics so I can more effectively communicate through my artwork. The delicate balance between identity and ability teeters in showing these early assignments, but what is art without vulnerability? “Elusive Ellipse and Chopsticks” is a display of my imperfection as an artist (those ellipses!!!). With my creative energy so focused on learning art techniques, meal prep has been often reduced totake out, a lifesaver for this frazzled Mom when deadlines loom!
