Great news! California Place, combined with the new Shasta College Community Leadership Center building and the California Street Parking Garage, previously known as Block 7, were nominated and won an award from AIA (American Institute of Architects) - Central Valley!

As AIA - Central Valley chapter shared, "As part of our annual Design Awards program, we present a Regional Recognition Award to a project that most strongly reflects our regional landscape, built environment, the AIA Framework for Design Excellence, and our chapter’s values and aspirations.
This year, our Design Awards Committee has selected Block 7 in Redding, CA for this honor. We believe the project beautifully embodies the spirit and character of our region, and we are thrilled to recognize it in this way."
