Is your child struggling in school? Since 2016, ILP has been educating students through the use of a variety of programs and techniques to determine the best approach for each child, and to enhance his/her love of learning. If you would like to discuss your child's needs, please don't hesitate to contact us!
When children are learning how to read they often rearrange the letters, omit/add words, and/or make educated guesses of unknown words based on pictures or words with similar initial sounds.
Here at ILP, we incorporate a specialized approach to student learning through Sensory-Cognitive Instruction. The goal with this type of instruction is to develop the learning process in order for students to self-monitor and self-correct. By incorporating visual language such like “what do you see…” and “what do you picture…”, will help your child make pictures/movies in their mind and ultimately, retain the information for an extended period of time. This process has proven to be successful in not only strengthening the foundational skills needed for fluency in both reading and math, but also leading students to overall independence!
If you’re seeing some of these common errors being made by your student, give us a call! By monitoring and correcting this early, it will minimize a lot of unnecessary frustration and leave your child feeling happy and confident in their learning!

Our 3rd-5th grade summer enrichment students hard at work! Lots of learning going on to practice the skills and prepare for the upcoming school year 👍
** LOVE seeing the older students partner up with the younger students! Not only does this build their leadership skills, but also checks their understanding and overall ability to explain the concepts in a clear and concise manner! ❤️
Nothing like having a little bit of Pictionary fun in between enrichment tasks with my soon-to-be 3rd thru 5th graders! They are all such characters 🤪
