Originally from Berkeley CA, and now living in Shasta County, singer/ songwriter, Steve Cheek known as Harmonica Steve, grew up in a musical family.
His early musical influences include the big band sound of the 1940s the Beatles and the San Francisco rock sound of the late 60s and country music. He played bass and guitar in local bands through his high school years. His harmonica style took shape after hearing harmonica player Lee Oskar in the mid 70s.
