Friends, family and policyholders, you’ve likely heard the news that State Farm will not be offering new homeowners, renters, boat and business policies (and a few others) in CA. You may be wondering why and how this will affect you.

Fist of all, we are still offering Auto Insurance, life insurance and a few others. so you can contact my office for a quote.

If you’re already a State Farm customer with one of the policies we are no longer offering, you don’t have to worry. You aren’t being cancelled or non renewed.

However, if you’re a new homeowner looking for insurance, or need one of the other policy types, unfortunately we at State Farm won’t be able to assist you.

Like every business, State Farm is affected by market forces, and ultimately that is what has forced State Farm to make this decision.

As a proud State Farm Agent in our community, I’m saddened by this decision. As a small business owner I’m concerned about the impact this will have on my business and the lives of my team. However, having been part of the State Farm family for over 15 years I have complete faith and confidence that we are doing the right thing for the sake of our current policyholders and our Company.

Responsibilities

* Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
* Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
* Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
* Work with the agent to develop and maintain a digital marketing system to promote the office.
* Work with the agent to identify and support local community events in our market.
* Work with the agent to help manage the website and social media content.
* Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.

As I am out on the lake waiting to shovel snow off of clients and friends boats, I have been trying to think of what I wanted to say. I can’t thank everyone enough who voted.
