PACE Engineering

Construction has officially started on the Corning Plaza and Recreation Center in Corning!

PACE Engineering is proud to be providing civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering services for this community project. Designed in collaboration with COAR Design Group and the City of Corning, the project is now moving into construction with Ginno Construction.

The new recreation center and plaza will transform a long-undeveloped lot across from City Hall into a vibrant destination for the community. The project includes a gym, indoor classrooms, outdoor stage, splash pad, and gathering spaces that will support activities, events, and programs for residents of Corning and surrounding communities.

This year marks 50 years since PACE first began, and we recently took some time to celebrate that milestone in a special way.

We partnered with Chris Rasmussen and his skilled team come in and capture photos and videos that reflect PACE’s history, our anniversary, and the future ahead. It was a meaningful opportunity to look back on how far we’ve come, recognize the people who helped build PACE over the years, and celebrate the strong relationships we’ve formed throughout our communities. It was a great experience working with Chris and his Taking Flight Media team as they helped us capture our story in a way that is authentic to PACE.

We’re incredibly thankful for our employees, clients, partners, and community members who have been part of the journey over the last five decades. We’re proud of where we’ve been and excited for what’s still to come.

Our second group ride for Bike Month was a success! 🚴

A few employees from NMR joined us for the ride, making for a fun evening of good conversation, great company, and some friendly competition.

We had a great time last week at the annual pancake breakfast put on by the Asphalt Cowboys in downtown Redding.

Whether we arrived by car or biked over for some extra Bike Month miles, it was a fun morning spent connecting with coworkers and the community.

Big thanks to the Asphalt Cowboys for putting on another great pancake breakfast!

Yesterday morning, we welcomed students from Shasta Charter Academy to PACE for a group job shadow experience.

Throughout the morning, students had the chance to learn more about engineering and surveying, hear from members of our team about their career paths, and see how different departments work together on projects that support our communities.

We appreciate opportunities like this to connect with local students and share more about the industry and the people behind the work we do every day. Thank you to Shasta Charter Academy for joining us this morning!

Our first Wednesday group ride for Bike Month was a success!

It was great to see employees getting outside, riding together, and enjoying some time together. Bike Month is always a fun opportunity to stay active and build some team camaraderie.

Looking forward to many more group rides and miles ahead this month! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Bike Month kicks off today, and we’re ready to roll! 🚴

For the third year in a row, we’re going head-to-head with NMR in our annual Bike Month competition, running through May 31st. This year brings a new twist—with three ways to compete: total miles, miles per rider, and percent of office participation.

Whether you're aiming for big miles or just getting out for a few rides, everyone plays a part in the challenge—and it’s anybody’s game.

We’ll wrap it all up with a BBQ to celebrate everyone’s efforts and recognize this year’s winner. Looking forward to a fun, active month ahead! 🚴‍♂️🔥

They are the backbone of our day-to-day operations—keeping things organized, supporting our team, and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Their hard work, positivity, and willingness to help never go unnoticed.

Greg, part of our Water/Wastewater Department, recently passed his PE exam. This is a big achievement and a reflection of his hard work and dedication.

We recently celebrated a major milestone—50 years of PACE—with a lunch out on our back patio.

It was a great afternoon filled with good food, good company, and time to reflect on what this anniversary truly represents. Over the past 50 years, PACE has been built on family, integrity, flexibility, and teamwork—values that continue to guide us every day.

We were especially honored to hear from past president Sam Smith, along with Larry Boisclaire, who has been with PACE since the very beginning. Their perspectives added a meaningful layer to an already special celebration.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. We’re proud of where we’ve been and excited for what’s ahead.
