Big things are taking shape at the REU Power Plant.
We're excited to be providing full design and construction management services for the new REU Power Plant Maintenance Office Building, a project that will give the City of Redding's maintenance staff a new 5,500-square-foot facility designed to support their day-to-day operations.
By bringing maintenance staff together under one roof, this project will improve coordination, communication, and efficiency as they continue keeping our community's power infrastructure operating reliably.
This project began in November 2025 and is expected to be completed in January 2027.
Last week, several of our departments came together for a fire flow test here at PACE. This was more that just a test but also a valuable hands-on learning opportunity for our team. 💧🚒
Tests like these are used to estimate the available pressure and flow at nearby hydrants.
For many of our employees, this was a chance to experience the process firsthand. Seeing a real-world fire flow test in action provides a level of understanding that simply can't be replicated in the office. It gave our team the opportunity to ask questions, observe the testing process, and better understand how the data is collected and used in engineering design.

Last weekend was our annual camping trip to Lake Siskiyou. 🏕️
We had a great time with family, friends, and coworkers enjoying the outdoors. From relaxing around the campfire and paddleboarding on the lake to bike rides, good conversations, and, of course, Dylan's famous tacos, it was a weekend full of fun and lasting memories.
Thanks to everyone who joined us—we're already looking forward to next year's trip!

Another big accomplishment for one of our PACErs! Congratulations to Sean McGuigan on passing his Professional Engineer's Exam and becoming the third licensed engineer as part of our growing I&C department. We are always proud to celebrate our team members as they continue to grow professionally and strengthen the expertise we bring to our clients. Way to go, Sean!

Our annual summer event is in the books! 🎉
Every year we look forward to spending an evening at WaterWorks Park and enjoying great food, lots of laughs, and of course some waterslide races. It was the perfect way to end the workday, hanging out, catching up, and having a great time together.
Thanks to everyone who showed up—we are already looking forward to next years!

After interning with us last summer, Brent has officially joined the team full-time following his graduation from UC Davis with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Brent is joining our Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Department, and we're excited to have him back as he begins this next chapter with PACE.

Found in the mountains of Siskiyou County - A few PACErs backpacking, hiking, and cooking up some delicious meals. Setting up camp at Porcupine Lake and hiking to Mount Eddy made for a fun and tiring weekend. Not to mention - the backcountry meals seem to get more impressive every year.
It’s always great to spend time together outside of the office and take advantage of the beautiful places we have nearby. 🌲⛰️🥾
