Shout out to Sam Shelby from Shelby’s Trash & Junk Removal for bringing this 1960 Chevy Parkwood station wagon full circle!

Sam was hauling off this beast from a client when he presented it to us with the original paperwork from 1988!

History lesson here, some will know and others won’t. Shorts Scrap Iron & Metal was the old school name for NorthState Recycling until year 2000. Same family, different generation.

My grandfather Russell Short, sold this station wagon to the same gentleman Sam hauled it away from! Thank you Sam for such a nostalgic moment.

Such a cool and epic full circle moment!!

Northstate Recycling Inc, thank you for joining us this year as a donation collection site for our 10th Annual Backpack and School Supply Event.

CalRecycle is forever changing the laws and regulations on CRV beverage container recycling. We receive quite a few complaints on not buying material that is missing a label or is not labeled correctly with CRV. I just wanted to give a little information on what we can and cannot accept. The easiest way to explain is by providing CalRecycle material that is available on their website (https://calrecycle.ca.gov/bevcontainer/basics/).

We will be closed Saturday and Monday (23rd & 25th) in observance of Memorial Day.

In preparation for our next event, the first Annual Bill Schmitt 173 for the ARCA Menards West Series along with the Northstate Recycling Late Models and the Speed Tour Super Modifieds on Friday May 1st and Saturday May 2nd we have procured additional food vendors on the grandstand side and are currently looking for one more food truck for the pits.

Flaco Tacos and Nuttin' Fancy BBQ have already committed to make your experience on the grandstand side more enjoyable and give you some different options. As in any business we want to make your visit to Shasta Speedway a great experience and by expanding food service we will eliminate the long wait lines at the first race.
