Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is now on Beanstack!

Tracking your family's reading has never been easier. Simply log the books you read online through Beanstack, celebrate reading milestones, and watch your child's progress grow one story at a time.

The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program encourages families to read together from birth until kindergarten. Read any books you love, at your own pace, because every story counts. Every page helps build early literacy skills and prepares your child for a lifetime of learning.

Community Conversation: Accessibility at the Library

As part of the LTC: Accessible Small and Rural Communities Grant, we're inviting community members to share ideas on how we can make our libraries more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.

These are conversations, not presentations. Your feedback will help guide future library services and improvements.

Sensory Storytime is every Wednesday at 10:15 am at the Redding Library!

Stories come to life through hands-on exploration at Sensory Storytime. Join us for engaging books, songs, rhymes, and sensory play designed to spark curiosity while supporting early literacy, fine motor skills, and social development.

Perfect for young children and their caregivers. No registration is required. Come learn, play, and explore with us!

🍷 Sip, swirl, and discover the world of wine!

Join us at the Redding Library on Saturday, August 1 at 4:00 PM for a guided Wine Tasting experience. Learn how to evaluate a wine's flavor, aroma, body, and finish while sampling six 1.5 oz pours over the course of two hours.

All handouts and materials are provided. Participants must be 21 or older, and IDs will be checked upon arrival.

The upstairs area of the Redding Library is temporarily closed due to an HVAC issue. This decision was made to ensure the comfort and safety of our visitors and staff while repairs are underway.

The good news: Our downstairs level and Children's Department remain open, and we look forward to welcoming you!

Our team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we'll share an update as soon as the upstairs reopens.
