Trust. It’s something we need to talk about more. Trust in our institutions, and trust in each other. And it’s a word I heard come up this week with regard to the work is doing in Northern CA as part of CA’s Jobs First program. We announced the framework for the Master Plan for Career Education, and heard from several organizations in the region working together to build a roadmap for real job pathways to the jobs our economy needs. Especially enjoyed hearing the role College Corps is playing for workforce development and creating real opportunities for young people to benefit the whole community!
Can’t wait to come back to see more of the great work happening, and the trust being built across the region.

Please check out an incredible organization— . Healing as a country can start by experiencing our common humanity, rather than just seeing our differences. It’s part of the power of service and why organizations who seek to build bridges and common experiences with people of different backgrounds will be on the front lines of combatting the division, polarization and othering we have become too accustomed to.
I was so inspired to meet with Gay for Good, lead by . They are doing the hard work California needs to bring people together, and I’m exited to partner with them! Lots to be hopeful for.
