Strong teams make strong communities.

We were glad to welcome our Chico housekeeping team and members of Impact Solutions to tour our Redding locations. Our housekeeping team brings valuable hospital-based sanitation experience, while Impact Solutions helps people with disabilities build skills and access meaningful employment opportunities.

We’re grateful for partners and team members who believe in dignity, opportunity, and doing the work well.

🎙️ We were honored to join Radio Mexicana 99.7 for a conversation about New Life Discovery Project, CalAIM, housing stability, recovery support, and what it really takes to help people rebuild their lives.

Our Executive Director/CEO, Timothy Wetherald, did an incredible job sharing our mission and the impact of our programs across the North State.

A special thank-you to Juan and the entire Radio Mexicana team for the warm welcome. Juan’s own journey—from starting in radio nearly 30 years ago to now owning three stations serving communities from Shasta County to Yolo County—is truly inspiring.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to reach more families with a message of hope, support, and second chances.

What an incredible Fourth of July celebration! 🇺🇸❤️

There is something truly special about people coming together—not just to celebrate our nation's freedom, but to celebrate one another. Our Community Center was filled with laughter, conversations, great food, games, and smiling faces, reminding us that healing and hope grow stronger when we gather as a community.

Events like these are about so much more than a holiday. They create opportunities for friendships to form, encouragement to be shared, and lasting memories to be made. Every conversation, every laugh, and every moment spent together helps strengthen the sense of belonging that makes our community so special.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make this celebration such a wonderful success. We are grateful for each and every one of you. Together, we are building more than a community—we are building hope, connection, and brighter futures.

Take a look at some of our favorite moments from the day! 🇺🇸🎉

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen when people simply come together.

Every Wednesday, Pastor Nuutele spends time at The Abode leading worship, sharing encouragement, and creating space for conversation, reflection, and hope. These gatherings remind us that healing isn’t just about having a place to stay—it’s about finding community, purpose, and people who genuinely care.

At New Life Discovery Project, we’re grateful for community partners and volunteers who invest their time and hearts into the lives of those we serve.

Thank you, Pastor Nuutele, for faithfully showing up each week and making a difference.

If you believe every person deserves hope and a fresh start, help us spread that message by sharing this post.

❤️ Every act of generosity helps create another opportunity for someone to succeed.

We’re proud to contribute this raffle basket to support Sunbright Recovery’s Silent Auction Fundraiser.

When organizations, businesses, and community members come together with a shared purpose, we all become part of someone’s recovery journey.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support programs that provide hope, healing, and second chances. Together, we’re making a difference—one life at a time.

Strong communities aren’t built alone.

This week, our team had the opportunity to connect with families, community partners, and service providers at the Pit River Health & Wellness Fair.

Events like this remind us that real change happens when organizations work together to support health, recovery, housing stability, and overall well-being.

Thank you to Pit River Health Service for bringing everyone together. We were honored to be part of such a meaningful day and look forward to continuing to serve our communities side by side.

Recovery is about so much more than staying sober—it is about connection, community, healing, and learning how to enjoy life again.

Today, our clients had an amazing time during Healing and Recovery Class at the New Life Community Center as we played Life-Size Recovery Candyland! What started as a fun game quickly became an opportunity for meaningful conversations, laughter, and personal growth.

As we made our way down the colorful path, participants shared pieces of their recovery journeys, talked about their hopes and dreams for the future, and bravely opened up about their fears, struggles, and triggers. It was a beautiful reminder that none of us are meant to walk this journey alone. Healing happens when we connect with others, encourage one another, and create safe spaces where honesty and vulnerability are welcomed.

One of the greatest gifts of recovery is discovering that life can be fun again. Joy, laughter, friendship, and healthy connection are powerful tools in the recovery process. Today was filled with all of those things—and plenty of candy too! After all, what would a game of Candyland be without candy?

We are grateful for every person who showed up, participated, and helped make today such a special experience. Together, we are building a community where hope grows, lives are transformed, and recovery becomes something worth celebrating every day.

What a wonderful time of celebration, encouragement, and hope at this month's All Client Meeting and Awards Ceremony!

We were honored to hear a powerful testimony from NLDP graduate Shawn Walker, who shared his incredible journey of recovery, transformation, and perseverance. His story served as a powerful reminder that change is possible and that a brighter future is within reach for those who continue to move forward one day at a time.

The afternoon was also filled with excitement as we celebrated this month's award recipients. We are so proud of each individual recognized for their hard work, commitment, growth, and dedication to building a better future. These awards represent more than achievements—they represent courage, resilience, and the determination to keep moving forward despite life's challenges.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event so special. Together, we continue to build a community of support, healing, and hope. Congratulations to all of our award recipients—you inspire us all!
