Helping women prevent overwhelm and lonliness during times of loss and transition. I am an end-of-life expert that holds your hand while you do hard things 🧡

Let Sara Crandell Hoxie know if you do this today 🙏🏽

And know that if you’re watching this and I’ve served your family in any capacity, you will all be in my thoughts today when I make my way to the river.

If you are seeing this, maybe it’s meant for you.

No hashtags. I’m just putting it out there so you have someone in your corner letting you know the relief you may feel on the other side.

Do it smart. Do it with your family in mind. Do it with backup…but if you can, your purpose is waiting.

Hey friends!

I’m just out here winging life, and I’m pretty pleased with it all.

Part of what is helping me get past that stuck place I was in is saying no.

I am a recovering people pleaser that hates saying no. But if I’m gonna survive and thrive I’m gonna have to wield that word with greater confidence!

Say no today! With love! With kindness! But also confidence! If it ain’t it, it ain’t it and yes is just gonna get you into a miserable pickle.

Love you. Have a great week. 🧡

I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to how I look, but that sometimes means I tell myself I don’t need the most basic of upkeep like a haircut.

The fact is when I don’t do these simple things it takes its toll. Nothing I tell myself specifically, but it’s definitely a reason I don’t show my face here sometimes.

Take care of yourself. Get the haircut. There may be periods in your life when that’s just not feasible, but when it is, caring for yourself can make an impact in so many other facets of your life 🧡

Thanks 😍

Death doulas show up in different ways.

I say I’m a death doula for the living because I have a lot of knowledge that a caregiver may benefit from.

I can take on some of the duties so that you get breaks, or I help you understand many of the decisions you’ll have to make.

Yes, I want your loved one to have a beautiful transition - but I also want you to feel supported before, during and after.

I’ve had a hard time saying this with my chest - but now it’s time.

With love from your death doula 🧡

You’re so smart and so capable but grief does funny things to our ability to function.

You’ll get it back, but maybe not today.

Last February, my dog died. I still went to work, fragile and sobbing.

Luckily, I was with people who understood and they treated me gently, but I know not everyone understands- or even tries.

I have some powerful stories about the animals I love, and taking care of them at the end of their lives transformed my beliefs around death and dying.

I want Mourning Space to be a place where you can bring your grief and feel seen. Not just by me, but others.

When we create communities to cultivate a language around grief, we make the world a better place.

There are many ways to go about this, and one is to intentionally create space for conversation, compassion and active listening - including spaces for people that better relate to their animals vs people.

With love from your death doula 🧡
