My heart is rooted deep in the mountains of coastal northern California where I grew up in the wilds of The Lost Coast. Driftwood!
My memories are vivid, and I suppose as a child, I took for granted my connection with the earth, feasting on wild black berries, starry nights on the riverbank and the smell of fragrant conifers on the breeze. Or sitting perched on rocks above the tide pools, not a soul in sight up or down the beach, only the sound of the waves giving way to a melodious tinkling like delicate chimes as the ebbing
waves washed over the pebbles. My love affair with the weathered and water-worn pieces began early as I’d stare at each piece, wondering what I could create with it, what was its origin, how each unique piece could fit into my life or be repurposed. My enchantment of natural self-care products; lotions, potions, serums, and perfume evolved organically after my daughter was born. I ditched the chemicals and decided not to apply it on my precious baby’s skin, or myself. I blended my two loves, researching and formulating natural products and sometimes combining it with driftwood we find on nearby shores, whether it be a beautiful piece with candles, plants, or just a place to store my cream jars and balms. My husband Louis, two daughters now in their early 20s and I still live in northern California where I enjoy creating driftwood and natural skin care. I can assure you, any product you may try and hopefully like as much as we do, will be made with quality, natural ingredients and lovingly hand crafted.
