Heather and Audrey have been best friends for twenty nine years this fall! Their shared passion for nutrient dense foods led them to grow certified organic vegetables at Red Gate Ranch. Initiated by Heather’s rock star husband, Kraig, the farming adventure began in 2012 when they moved to the ranch with their infant son Jackson, followed by Audrey and her ten year old son, Pharaoh, just a few months later. Here are some flashback pics of the BFFs in the garden from the last decade.
These food loving ladies will have tables full of the incredible organic produce listed below plus it’s going to be an Escarole Extravaganza! Stop by the booth to snap a picture of a delicious ESCAROLE recipe and promotion encouraging the use of this bounty of the week!

These popular salad turnips will be available tomorrow . If you haven’t already fallen in love with these crispy, fresh turnips, here’s how we enjoy them most:
Thick slices make the perfect alternative to chips with dip or on crudités platters!
Thin slices can be used on all types of salads!
Chopped into matchsticks for the perfect topping on chili or tacos!
Roasted or grilled whole for an attractive side dish. Drizzle with lemon and olive oil.
Boiled with greens for a fun colcannon twist! Boil roots first then add chopped greens for just a few minutes. Drain off all liquid and add butter, salt, and pepper and mash to desired consistency.
The greens can always be added to salads and soups too!
What’s your favorite way to enjoy them?
