New training opportunities…

Leadership 1, being held Saturday October 11 & Sunday October 12, 2025, the Fire Police Association in conjunction with the Training Committee are offering this Class. This class is for New and Old Officers and Firefighters that want to be Officers some day. If you want to end, email the Training Committee with names.

Flashover class schedule for Berks County Fire Training site.

Two sessions scheduled:
Saturday, May 31 from 0800 to 1700
Sunday, June 1 from 0800 to 1700

Due to limited class size, 12 per class, registration will only be guaranteed when applicant receives confirmation email.

All accepted applicants must provide proof of completed essentials of firefighting or firefighter 1 certification. Must have full PPE and SCBA with spare cylinder on day of class.

Will follow state guidelines on proper PPE for flashover portion of class. Guidelines require clean shaven, long sleeve shirt and long pants.

Introduction to Fire Officership class to be held:

April 26 & 27 from 0800 to 1700 at the Fire Training site.

Highly recommend class to take if you are a new or plan to be a Fire Officer.

To be held on Thursday January 23, 2025 @ 1900 hours. Class will be 3 hours long and cost is $25 per person.

Held at the Berks County Fire Training Site.

Some more of 2025 Training Schedule. ElEF- Tuesdays April 1, 8, 15, 22 from 1830-2230. Saturdays April 5, 12, 26 from 0800-1700. ELIF- Tuesdays August 19, 26 and September 2, 9 from 1830-2230. Saturdays August 23, September 6, 13, 20 from 0800-1700. SBS Saturday September 27 & Sunday September 28 from 0800-1700. HMO- Tuesdays April 29 & May 6, Thursdays May 1, 8 from 1830-2230. 2025 Training Schedule is be worked on. The following Classes are on the Website so far: ELIS- Saturday February 8 &15 from 0800-1700. ELFG- Tuesdays March 4, 11, 18, 25 from 1830-2230 and Saturdays March 8 & 15 from 0800-1700. HMA-Saturday February 22 from 0800-1500. I will post the other classes as they get put on the website. Remember applications must be completed and you will get a confirmation, if you don’t, then you need to follow up….

Pump 2 is scheduled Thursday September 5 and Thursday September 12 from 1830 -2230 and Saturday September 14 from 0800-1700 at the Training Center. There are still some spots open.
