🏗️🐾 Ms. Cain’s students are testing their engineering skills at Lockland Schools!

How high can you go with just index cards, paper clips, scissors and 10 minutes? Pretty high, apparently!

As part of a science lesson exploring how different materials can be used to build large structures, students put their engineering skills and creativity to the test in a tower-building challenge.

The goal? Build the tallest tower before time runs out!

And here's our winning creation, along with one very proud young engineer! 💙💛

💙💛 Our first graders spent some time with Mr. Diggle as part of their life skills education, learning together, sharing smiles and even squeezing in a great big group hug! 🥰🐾

Moments like these help build connections and remind us what being is all about.

💼 Lockland's eighth-grade Career Technical Education students recently spent time getting a head start on skills they'll use throughout their working lives!

From writing professional emails and creating resumes to preparing for job interviews, students have spent the past week learning what it takes to make a great first impression.

They even practiced interviewing one another before putting their skills to the test in mock interviews with their teacher. To prepare, each student selected a job, submitted a résumé and requested an interview through a professionally written email.

Talk about putting learning into practice! 💙💛🐾

📚🏮Students wrapped up their study of Ancient Asian Civilizations with a classroom celebration that turned review day into an experience!

They wore red, filled red envelopes with what they had learned, read books, enjoyed rice and dumplings and even watched a little fireworks display as they explored traditions connected to Chinese New Year. 🥟🧧

It was a fun and memorable way to revisit their learning, prepare for their test and celebrate the conclusion of the unit.

Now that’s a review day! 💙💛

🐶💙💛 Well, look who made some new friends! Lockland students recently had the chance to meet and greet our favorite super dog, Diggle! Judging by the smiles, we’re pretty sure Diggle enjoyed the attention just as much as they enjoyed meeting him. 🐾

It’s always a good day when Diggle comes to visit!
