On Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude.

We remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

🇺🇸 Their sacrifice is woven into the story of the freedoms we hold today, including the freedom to gather, to reflect, and to share in moments of music and community.

As we listen, reflect, and spend time with those we love, we carry their memory with respect and gratitude.

From all of us at the Reading Symphony Orchestra, we honor them today and always. ❤️🤍💙

Every musician begins somewhere.

One violin. One trumpet. One piano lesson. One moment of curiosity that turns into a lifelong love of music. 🎻🎺🥁

Behind every symphony performance is an instrument that once belonged to a beginner.

So whether it’s your child picking up their very first instrument or you rediscovering music yourself, today is a reminder that music has the power to shape confidence, creativity, discipline, and connection for a lifetime.

What instrument would you choose? 🎶

Today, we’re celebrating the tiny musician that inspired one of classical music’s most iconic pieces. 🐝🎶

“Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov is famous for its rapid, buzzing notes that perfectly capture the chaotic energy of a bee in flight. Originally written as part of an opera, the piece has become one of the most recognizable and exhilarating works in orchestral music.

On World Bee Day, it’s a reminder that inspiration can come from the smallest creatures… and turn into something unforgettable. 💛
