There have been many people and businesses alike developing new and innovative ways to support health care workers, first responders, and other frontline employees amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The Drawing Board proudly recognizes the efforts of our client, North American Plastics, and its subsidiaries, including Laird Plastics, Modern Plastics Distributor, Calsak Plastics, Port Plastics, EM Plastic & Electric Products Ltd., and Farco Plastic Supply. Many of these NAP warehouses have shifted manufacturing processes to produce face shields, retail barriers, ventilator parts, and wall systems for temporary medical facilities.

Not even COVID-19 keeps The Drawing Board down! It’s business as usual just from our home offices.

Congratulations to our client, Opportunity House, on a record-breaking turnout for the 18th Annual Souper Bowl fundraiser held at the Crowne Plaza last night. As a volunteer and committee member, Deb was there to assist with setup and the Silent Auction table. Attendees sampled soups from over 25 area restaurants and caterers and received a beautiful handmade bowl. Tickets are on sale now for Opportunity House’s next event—Wine, Women and Shoes—check their website for more details.

Stacy and Samantha braved the bitter elements to get a sneak peek of the ice sculptures sponsored by area organizations that will be on display during Reading Fire + Ice Fest, including our client, Berks County Community Foundation.

We’re thankful for Cougle's Recycling, Inc. for coming in and hauling away our old paperwork. It’s amazing what you find while purging over 30 years’ worth of stuff. But, some things are worth keeping, like The Drawing Board’s first job ledger.

Congratulations to the Berks Counseling Center on the opening of its new Family Center. The beautifully renovated area is specifically designed for children and adolescents needing help with behavioral health, emotional issues and substance use disorders. Deb had the pleasure of attending last night’s open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony. She also designed the event’s invitation, as well as an informational brochure.

It turned out to be a beautiful day for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Penn State University Berks Campus. Deb teamed up with members from Chestnut Knoll Personal Care, Memory Care and At Home Care Services to walk during the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease. She also spotted other familiar faces who were gearing up to walk the course, too—team members from Manor at Market Square!
