Mabel is due in about 3-4 days! I'm suspecting a smaller litter, but who knows lol she's in a maternity setup with Doris now🫶🏼

Lurch is officially retired! He's coming up on 2yo🥹 Unsure if Doris is bred or not, if not I'll breed her to another male in the line later on🫶🏼 Maybe Shrek🤔

I finally made my first hammock set! Its also my first ferret stuff ive made by a sewing machine! I'm pretty proud of it, just don't look too close at the stitching🤣🫶🏼

I've made a handful of single hammocks but this was the first set I did, I made 3 shelf covers *only 1 is on in these photos* 1 standard hammock, 1 double decker/honeycomb hammock, and 1 "double bunkbed" hammock🥰

Rat stuff is smaller and easier, I've done many of those over the years by hand and a few recently with my sewing maching. Ferret stuff is of course larger and was a bit of a learning curve. I plan on moving these girls into a critter nation at some point this year, so I'll be learning to make sets for that eventually since unlike rats ferrets can have fleece liners in the whole cage and they wont need changed out nearly as often as rats with shelf liners since they won't p*e or poo on it🙂

Mabel is pregnant! She's due around June 9th🫶🏼
This lady is going to be "fun" getting bump pics of when she's bigger😬😅 she's a tuck pro and anytime she's picked up she wants to tuck up her back feet, it's so hard getting photos of her like this because of that (hence her lifting her 1 foot up in the photos lol)

I thought Doris was pregnant, but she's either having a very small litter or didn't take and was bred at a later time and I missed it because she's supposed to be due in a few days and looks nowhere near it lol

And for dessert? Blackberries!😋

We have shared this infographic in the past, but I do feel that it cannot be shared often enough. While I understand how frustrating it can be that so many rentals are not pet friendly, obtaining an "ESA certificate" is not the answer. Please note- there is no such thing as an ESA certificate, and even with the required letter from your doctor, it is still NOT a guarantee that your rental property will accept your pet. Therapy dogs and ESA's also do not have public access rights, and impersonating a service dog is not only dangerous, but can be illegal in some cases.

While we want to adopt to you, please note that we also want what is best for our dogs- and that means following the law. If you break it and become homeless, our dogs do too. And yes, if you ask us for a service dog, we are going to require an evaluation from your trainer. Again- just looking out for everyone's best interests. Thanks for attending our TED talk.

What size do we like better? The bigger one is 11x8.5in
The smaller one is 8.5x5.5in

I feel like one is too big and the other is too small, but like the smaller one a little better? Idk 😩🤦🏽‍♀️

Also this is after 15 attempts at sizing, I cannot find the perfect one 😭🤣 so it's between these for now!

Riley X Leo are paired! Hoping for more black eyed white, hopefullyyyy bew dwarf🤞🏼
I'll have to work on temperament a bit as Riley isn't exactly what I like and is kinda shy, but not too bad. Hoping Leo will balance that in the babies🥰

Leo is genetically black, and Riley is Russian blue. Expecting those colors, beige, maybe Russian beige. All babies will be Dumbo. Dwarf & standard babies are expected!

All because she wanted to keep 2 wild rats and I said to keep neither. She then posted a video of them in a 20(?) Gal tank with the smallest wire wheel, and just hay for bedding so I said everything about that set up was wrong. I and another person tried telling her but 🤷🏽‍♀️😅

I'd also love if I could get rich off the rats 😂😂 but I'm usually in the negative, sometimes I'll break even. I think maybe 2 months out of the years I've "made a profit" and it wasn't much. I'm actually 400ish negative this month bc of the rats (comparing how much I spend on them vs what I "make" in them going to new hammocks)

Anyways, thought others would find this amusing
