Why cant I stop? Just went for two months killing it with canvas bags in prep for Chester Craft Fair, then I look at a few duffles and black leather and get an idea.....

Upcycled Vietnam military duffle w WWII tent canvas lining. Fully handcrafted and ready for service.

The Executive finished in upcycled military canvas handcrafted from a large portion of one soldier's duffle, lined with vintage WW2 shelter half canvas. Generous interior pockets along with the large main compartment allow this bag to carry all your daily requirements, all while being pretty light!

Part of the Creative Upcycled line i have been working on, this Executive also features WW2 patches and English Bridle leather details and straps plus a custom closure. Everything minus the leather hand rivets is vintage dead stock material. A solid piece of history.

Spending the morning repairing and adding a liner to this military bag.

Completed taking the Boy Acout bag apart carefully and was able to keep each part whole. Needs a good cleaning then reinforcement, which will take all the stress off the canvas when reassembled.

I picked up this Boy Scout bag at while and I were in Asbury Park for our anniversary last weekend. The bag is extremely brittle, the canvas has lived it's life and is ready to take a dirt nap. But, I love the patina and the story it tells. I planned on cleaning it up and converting it into a backpack quickly, as a ton of people loved what I did with the US mailbag (last photo for reference).

This is going to be a bit of a longtime conversion. The canvas needs to be reinforced throughout. It will get a full lining and structured shoulder strap setup. Repurposing what was into something new and functional is extremely rewarding. Stay tuned!

Check out this satchel using vibtage military canvas, fully lined with black cowhide. Antique brass hardware and hammered copper rivets make this bag one of a kind.

Some of the new pieces I brought to Chester Craft Show today. Two sold, but I still have the backpacks and one tote. Great day overall, even with the earlier portion of the day being rainy. Happy to have some pieces in canvas and leather out in the world now being enjoyed. Hope to see more of you tomorrow 10-5!
