Big day for the Redhawks youth program! 🏉🔥

Our 10U Redhawks battled through a strong day of rugby, earning wins over the Charlotte Cardinals and Lake Wylie to advance to the championship match against SoPi Red. The boys came up just short in the final, finishing as tournament runners-up after a series of hard-fought matches filled with tough, sound rugby and outstanding teamwork.

We couldn’t be prouder of the effort from both 10U Redhawks teams. The resilience, positivity, and growth this group showed all season long has been something special to watch.

Our 12U Rattlehawks also put together a strong performance, earning a great win in their play-in match against SoPi Black before facing powerhouse SoPi Red. While the final result didn’t go their way, the improvement from the beginning of the season to now has been incredible. Their toughness, confidence, and development on the pitch were evident every step of the way.

Huge thank you to all the players, coaches, and families for an amazing season of rugby. The future is bright for Redhawks Rugby! 🔴⚫️

Why RedHawks?
“I chose the RedHawks because when I wanted to start playing rugby it was the club that seemed like it had the best family culture, teammates, and competition. I knew that I would be able to learn the sport and grow connections with people to become a better person and athlete.”

Why College?
“I’m going to college because my education is very important to me. I chose NC State because of their academic rigor and motto of ‘Think and Do’ which has been reinforced in me because of rugby. I’m so excited to continue my academic and rugby career through college and NC State.”

Why Profession?
“I’m going into engineering because I want to use what I know about math, science, and the world to make a difference. I have always enjoyed and excelled in STEM subjects so it was a natural fit. I’m choosing a Bio and Ag concentration because I want to rebuild the environment to work better for communities to remain sustainable and healthy.”
