A sweet stitch for a little one! We love these new animal rocker canvases by 🐘🐰 Plus, they’re 13 mesh, which makes them an extra quick stitch!
Woven stitch is an easy one that’s a must know for every needlepointer!
It’s made up of diagonal stitches that span over two canvas intersections. Horizontal rows of stitches alternate directions, and almost tuck underneath the previous row of stitches.
It’s a great stitch for small spaces as it is easy to compensate and has a small repeat. Try it on your next needlepoint project today and tell us what you think!

Flying high on this darling finish🪁 How adorable is our Stitch Style Needlepoint kite canvas, stitched and finished by ?! We love to see your finished projects!
We love this stitch… Open Criss Cross Hungarian Stitch! It’s one of Jinny’s favorite decorative needlepoint stitches!
Open Criss Cross Hungarian is similar to regular Criss Cross Hungarian stitch, except that we will omit the cross stitch in between the groups of three stitches. It simplifies the texture a little bit, and makes the stitch a little less “fussy” looking.
Try it out on your next canvas and tell us what you think. Don’t forget to save this video for easy reference to see the stitch in action.
Here’s a needlepoint stitch that we love for water! We love a Bargello Stitch, and this tutorial is just one of the many different examples of this decorative stitch.
Bargello patterns are traditionally made up of vertical straight stitches arranged in a repeating pattern. Here you’ll see stitches over three canvas threads, undulating up and down.
Bargello patterns are wonderful stitches for needlepoint project backgrounds. Try it out on your next project and share it with us!
