“The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”
Matthew 28:5-6 NASB1995

We need to be aware of the people in our lives who need to be loved on today.
Sure, there are plenty of easy people to love; a spouse, a child, a parent, your best friend, and so forth. But there are plenty of others who need to be loved on as well. You don’t need to know all about them to be kind, encouraging, positive, helpful, and so forth. Maybe you just need to smile and speak up.
Our love for others ought to draw them closer to the Lord.
While we might not see it clearly, God has a master plan. We need to look for God’s plan, His timing, His ways, and we need to follow them. And maybe more importantly, we need to trust God’s timing. So, whether it is something we need to wait on or something we need to do, we need to follow God’s plan.
Who can convince us to do something that we ordinarily wouldn’t do?
We naturally think about bad things and folks urging us to do wrong things. But sometimes people have to urge us to do good things, too.
Who do we allow to persuade us? Are they a Christ like model? And who are we influencing, and are we a Christ like model or not?
When we look at the circumstances in our lives, the ones that are so far out of our control that we cannot imagine a solution, when we think things are at their darkest, when we think there is no way this can work out.
We need to remember, God’s timing is not like ours. So, while we may think we are at the end of our rope, God may simply be getting ready to act on our behalf.
We will never understand everything, and this is where faith in God comes in.
The question for each of us is pretty simple. Are we willing to learn the truth from and about Jesus?
And are we willing to live that truth?
Those are simple questions, and yet they reveal the truth about us, that maybe we don’t want to see.
Great LIFE Group discussion last night. Just a few points we learned from discussing Acts 8:26-40
1. We must have a walk with Jesus to share a Jesus with others
2. We must be willing to leave our comfort zones
3: We should seek to be understanding of others
4. We should meet people where they are in their walk with the Lord when witnessing.
This Sunday in LIFE Group we will be discussing Acts 9.

With the change of the seasons, our days have been getting shorter, the sun sets a little earlier every day.
That is true of our lives as well, the longer we live, the closer we are to the end. So, we need to learn to make the most of every day, there are so many good applications of this, but let’s focus on this one this morning.
We need to learn all we can about the Word and Jesus while we still have the time and the opportunity. We need to learn, but we also need to apply those lessons, so that we can see clearly the life we are called to live. And we need to live the life that honors God. One day, each of our lights will go out here on earth, so we need to make the most of every opportunity we have now.
What have you been putting off lately?
I know there are a thousand excuses; too busy, not enough time, need another tool, not sure how to begin, weather is not right, and on and on. But there are some things we need to do today, right now. Maybe there are some fences that need mending, maybe a relationship is strained, maybe your commitment to the Lord is now what it should be. Don’t wait another day, another hour. Get up right now and make those things right.
