Yarn
Yarn is an Americana, Alt-Country, Rock and Roll band founded in 2007 by Blake Christiana. Saturday Night Sermon is out NOW!!
You can find everything you need here: linktr.ee/yarnmusic Blake Christiana, founding member of Yarn, has the music in him. Since 2007 he’s led Yarn, a band that’s evolved from its earliest days as a bar band in New York City to an outstanding roots band that’s shared stages with Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Alison Krauss, and Leftover Salmon, among many others. Yarn got their start by playing a w

"How lucky can one guy be?" Old Blue Eyes used to ask. I'm asking myself that same question right here and now. Last night I got to share the stage with my absolute favorite musicians on this planet that I've been playing with for nearly 20 years. My wife and cricket were there. So many of my friends in attendance. It was an overload of blessings. We're off to play a private party at the beach with full hearts and a boat load of gratitude for still getting to be this, do this, AND ENJOY THIS. And we're bringing Russ with us which makes it even sweeter.

Yarnival - Music & Alternative Arts Festival is looking for sponsors for our 6th annual event!
Thanks to the generosity of our fans and a handful of great companies, last year’s festival was our biggest and best yet. We’re hoping to build on that success this year.
There are sponsorship opportunities at every level, from simply adding a little extra to your ticket purchase, to sponsoring one of our two stages, to becoming a presenting sponsor of the entire festival.
If you’re a business looking to connect with an engaged audience of music lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and festival-goers, we’d love to talk. And if you’re a fan who believes in what we’re doing and wants to help keep Yarnival growing, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support.
Please follow the link below for sponsorship details, or reach out to me directly with any questions.
And if you know someone, a business owner, organization, or fellow fan who might be interested, please share this post and help spread the word.

The new album has managed to stay in the Americana Music Association's TOP TEN for its 3rd straight week. Our single, Good Things is slipping but other songs are taking its place like Longshot, Might As Well Be King and Goodbye Cowgirl. We got added by 3 new Americana Chart reporting radio stations this week. Thank you 98.7wvmo in Madison, KHNS in Alaska, and 90.1 FM KPFT Houston in Texas! If we can keep getting new adds maybe we can give this record some added new life on the radio.
After 20 years of doing this, there is no other way than word of mouth for a band like us. We've always been an independent band with limited funding and absolutely zero connections inside of this business. No matter how hard we've looked, we've never found one single shortcut. One of 2 reasons we're still here is because we've busted our asses, suffered a million dues paid, hundreds of poorly attended shows, and often times the weariest of souls but still kept on. The other reason is YOU, the fans, our friends, our lifeblood. You have given us a bed to sleep, hot food to eat, you have financed each and every one of our recordings, given us hope, and often when we needed it the most reminded us of what this music means to you. THANK YOU. Let's keep this record alive, I'm not ready for it to fall back into obscurity just yet. STREAM, STREAM, SHARE, SHARE, SHOUT IT LOUD EVERYWHERE!!!

The good old music business, where the product is the band, and the record is but just a wee little marketing tool. Our new album, Saturday Night Sermon for all intents and purposes was a success. Listeners dug into the album, not just a single or 2, and that is always our goal when making records. We want the listener to start it and finish it, just like a movie or a book or a play. Really give it a good listen and then want to do it over and over again. It appears that's what y'all are doing and that makes us feel really good. THANK YOU.
But like most every album, it gets released, it gets heard and then interest wanes, new albums come out and attention gets diverted. We want to KEEP THIS ALBUM CIRCULATING AND GROWING. So please keep sharing and streaming and telling all your friends and neighbors about it. Force them to have a listen, it's time to convert the unconverted! WE WANT IT TO KEEP GROWING, maybe even become a cult classic, because lord knows we're well past the point of becoming mainstream, nor do we want to.
Like I said earlier, the record is just a marketing tool now, its sole purpose is to find new fans, and encourage them to come out and see a show, and snag some merch and to keep us making music.
In the meantime, soak in this here cute picture of the incomparable Rick Bugel and our perfect poodle Cricket. BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE PLEASE!!!

Let's send a little love Rob Carroll's way. Rob is another one of our Utah friends and fans. He's become a Rooster Walk and Yarnival - Music & Alternative Arts Festival staple, and one of our most passionate and outspoken Yarn advocates. Rob is music, he lives, drinks, eats and breathes it. It's his life blood. He created The Yarniverse, our facebook fam group, he's started a podcast called Sharing The Groove where he shares his deep passionate love of music, and probably goes out to see at least 3 live shows a week. He's the man and we must celebrate him!!!
We probably would only need about 100 more Rob's to quite possibly take over the world. This picture taken by Cloud Bobby a few weeks ago really captures the essence that is our dear brother Rob. He would also tell you to hit the road and come see us at all our shows this summer. Right Rob?!

At Rooster Walk 15 in 2025 I told the crowd I'd officially become a full blown A grade 💯 tree hugging hippie and that next year I'd be draped in all tie-dye clothes from head to toe including my boots. Thanks to Danny Balfour I almost pulled it off. I ordered some super colorful tie-dye boots that just didn't quite work when they arrived. Had I just given Danny some white Chuck Taylor's I could have fully executed my promise. Either way, it was super fun to play this set wearing all of Funky Dye's work. Danny is an incredible talent as well as an ENORMOUS help to keeping us feeling good and rested on the road. THANK YOU DANNY!
Come give Danny a visit at one of our shows this summer and buy yourself a piece of Yarn merch...

Not once in the history of my music career have I ever used my birthday to promote one of my shows. I've never been a big birthday guy. But it turns out that my 50th falls on the same day as Mountain Laurel Jam Fest in Old Fort, NC this coming June 13th. And it just so happens to include some of my most favorite people that this incredible musical universe has brought to me. Therefore I can't help but shout it out loud from the social media rooftops...
COME CELEBRATE MY 50th with me and at least 10 of my favorite people. Of course first and foremost my wife Mandy will be there. We met at a Yarn show at The Pour House Music Hall & Record Shop in Raleigh, NC 18 years ago. Then there's Bobby & Ricky, the best damn rhythm section and van-mates the road has to offer. Danny Balfour hopped on this train way back when during the first Festy in Charlottesville, VA thanks to Railroad Earth. Dan Lotti, Mike Sivilli and Steven Sandifer of Dangermuffin came into my life at The Surf Bar in Folly Beach, SC many moons ago. And my first recollection of meeting Ward & Russ from Sol Driven Train was at FloydFest in 2008. Our new friend Dan Hood will also be joining us on guitar. INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL!!!
COME CELEBRATE!!! The stage will be full of friends, love and music, and the smiles will all be HUGE!!!

It's been 6 weeks since Saturday Night Sermon came out, it's been streamed over a half million times and is still hanging out in the top 10 on the Americana Music Association's album radio chart alongside Mumford and Sons, Ryan Bingham, Charley Crockett, Kacey Musgraves, and Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Now let's pretend it just came out today and we need to get all our friends and neighbors to hear this album for the first time again. Let's see how quick we can get to a million streams and let's see if we can get radio to play it even more and get into the top 5. Lastly, let's see if we can sell out the rest of this years' Yarn shows!!! 🙏❤️
SO PLEASE STREAM, REQUEST, COME TO A SHOW AND BUY YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE!!!

This is our friend Ralph Milite, he's the last person we ever expected to see yesterday at Michael Arnone's Crawfish Fest in Sussex County NJ. Ralph went in for a heart procedure on 4.28 that would give him more time to wait for his transplant. 99 times out of 100 this procedure goes just fine, but old Ralphie boy just had to keep us all on the edge of our seats. He coded and was officially dead for 10 minutes. So much for giving himself more time to find that new heart. But when it ain't your time, it ain't your time, 2 days later our dear brother Ralph got his new heart. And now here we are 41 days later, and he's at a music festival rocking out to Yarn and From Good Homes. I asked him what he wanted to hear before our set and he said, "how about a little Pablo?". You bet your ass I obliged and I even wore the red nose he gave me. Love you Ralph! Happy healing!!! Hope to see you at Yarnival - Music & Alternative Arts Festival.
As for NYC, I can't believe how many people were in the crowd that I didn't know, LOVE THAT. So great to meet some of you. It was jam packed, rowdy and rockin'. The front row was about 6 inches from our faces, I forgot what it was like to play in the village. An absolutely perfect return to where it was all born. THANK YOU!
PLEASE MAKE YOUR PLANS AND BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE FOR OUR UPCOMING SHOWS. There's not a ton to choose from so you might as well just come to them all...
