Have a lot on your proverbial plate?

Hit pause. Come to the woods. Fill it with Sassool Cafe | Mediterranean Restaurant instead.

So much has evolved over the past nine Longleaf Learning Collective women’s outdoor retreats. One of our favorite changes? Trading disposables for vintage mismatched china.

But one thing has stayed exactly the same: Friday night dinner comes from Sassool.

As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Fresh, ridiculously delicious Lebanese Mediterranean food has been fueling our first night in the woods since the very beginning.

Gluten-free? They’ve got us. Vegan? No problem. Dairy-free? Done. Feeding a whole group of women with different dietary needs is no small thing, and Sassool makes it incredibly easy for everyone to sit down to a really good plate of food together.

We’re so grateful Sassool has been part of the Pause in the Pines tradition, and especially grateful to have them sponsoring Friday night dinner for retreat number ten!

There are ONLY TWO spots around the table September 25th-27th! It’s less than a 15 minute drive from Sassool’s Raleigh location, but being surrounded by almost 200 acres of private woods, it feels like a world away.

Come hungry. We’ll fill your plate.

The pumpkin patch can wait.
Take your kids to the mountains.

Let them climb a rock wall. Paddle a canoe. Stay up too late around a campfire. Run around with new friends. Wake up in a cabin surrounded by fall leaves.

Give them the kind of weekend they’ll still be talking about in March. Or until you bring them back again next year…

And here’s the best part: Family Camp isn’t just fun for the kids!!

It’s one of those rare family weekends where the grown-ups are having just as much fun. Where you don’t have to plan the meals or figure out what everyone is doing next. Where you put your phone down because you actually want to.

You’re climbing. Canoeing. Sitting around the fire. Laughing with other parents. Watching your kids disappear into a pack of new friends.

And somehow, you get to feel a little bit like a kid at camp again too.

October 9–11, we’re heading to Camp Cheerio in the Blue Ridge Mountains, right around the time the fall leaves will be showing off. 🍂😍🍁

Early Bird pricing ends September 18th, and a family of four saves $100.

The pumpkin patch will still be there when you get home.
Come to the mountains with us.

Maybe you’ve been craving a weekend where nobody needs anything from you.

Where you can drink your coffee while it’s hot, laugh around a campfire way too late, wander through the woods, paddle across the lake, take a nap, and have a little space for yourself.

That’s Pause in the Pines.

Our TENTH retreat is September 25-27, and we’re already halfway sold out!

Whether it’s your first time camping or you’re a pro, this is for you! Come with a friend or come on your own. Either way, there’s something pretty special about the community that forms under the pines.

We’d love for you to be part of it.
