Unfortunately, we closed our doors in February 2016. Though we are working on a way to get our desserts out to you, our friends, at the moment the is no good way to do so. We'll just leave the following description up as a reminder of the good times...

Well, The Pit's Fayetteville St farmers market tent was going to have pound cake slices, Neiman Marcus bars, and chocolate chip cookies today. Bet seeing as how that's been cancelled due to the weather, we'll be taking them to the Morning Times, so you can still feed your Square Rabbit fix. They're on their way now!

Though The Square Rabbit is no longer in business, we are working on getting selected Square Rabbit desserts, cakes, and sweets out to you good folks. We are working with (at) Empire Eats Catering, and are in the process of finalizing a dessert menu. You can get Square Rabbit treats at Morning Times (0 E. Hargett St., downtown Raleigh). You can order desserts though Morning Times, or call Kimberly Miller at 919-582-9470.

What a great day to head down to The Pit's food tent at the Fayetteville St farmers market. Grab yourself a BBQ sammich, Pepsi, and a Square Rabbit dessert! Today we have pound cake, sweet potato pie, and lemon pecan teacake. You can even get a WHOLE pound cake. Get 'em before they're gone!

The Square Rabbit is just a state of mind now. Unfortunately, we closed our doors in February 2016.
We’ve decided to turn this page into a celebration of the Rabbit, and invite you to share your memories. Maybe we catered your wedding. Maybe we baked your birthday, baby shower, or graduation cake. Maybe you were one of the many regulars who stopped by, day after day, to sample our varied menu. You’re all welcome to browse the photos, leave a comment, say hi.

“Welcome to The Square Rabbit, that Little Shop on the Corner that has been a Raleigh, North Carolina staple since 1991! All of our food is prepared fresh daily, and we pride ourselves on using on the most wholesome ingredients. We’ve been serving up our famous baked goods, daily lunch specials and more for nearly 25 years.
With the exception of a break for a couple years in the early 90s, folks have been walking out of our front doors with savory entrees and quiches, fresh salads, sandwiches stuffed with tasty meats and the BEST chicken salad (I don’t care what anybody says). And you can’t forget our mouth-watering, taste-tempting, ever-so-addictive baked goods. We also accept special orders for bakery items, such as cakes, pies and cookies- don’t miss our famous iced shortbread cookies! For those who can’t join us in store, we offer catering for all types of parties and corporate events, as well as corporate and private luncheons.
As you can see, we have a little bit of everything here! We invite you visit our website, where you can download full menus, then come inside and look around. See something you like?
