Calvary Raleigh Kids
To see kids come to know Jesus & be biblically discipled to grow & serve Jesus. Newborn-5th Grade
Sundays | 10:30AM
This week we hear from Micah on what he learned in Kids City!
Our heart is to help kids understand that the God who knows everything about their lives also knows their hearts—and calls them to love and serve Him.
People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
- 1 Samuel 16:7b

Hey everyone! My name is Will, and I’m the Next Gen Kids Ministry Intern here at Calvary Raleigh! I’m so excited to see how the Lord moves in our Kids Ministry and to be part of the eternal impact of expanding His Kingdom.
A Little About Me
Since 2022, I’ve had the honor of serving in Kids Ministry—and it has truly been the joy of my life. Being able to disciple kids, watch them come to know Jesus, and equip them to share Him with others has been such a blessing.
I can’t wait to see what God will do next through our Kids Ministry. The best is yet to come!

This week, take 1 day to ask these 2 questions and spend 3 minutes talking about them:
1. Does how you live your life matter?
2. What are different things we can do in our lives that show others we love and follow God?
And don’t forget to practice this past Sunday’s memory verse as a family! If your child can recite it to their leader on Sunday, they’ll win a prize! Use this as a chance to spend quality time with God in your household—reading His Word, praying together, and celebrating the new life we have in Jesus.

Sunday Recap
This week was a Game Changer! Kids learned that God makes us new. In Colossians 3, Paul reminded Christians that a relationship with God through Jesus means we don’t stay the same—we are made new! Jesus forgives our sin and helps us live in a new way, where we love God and point others to Him.
Family Challenge: Try something “new” together this week—whether it’s a new meal, game, or activity. As you do, talk about how Jesus gives us a brand-new way to live when we follow Him.

This week, take 1 day to ask these 2 questions and spend 3 minutes talking about them with your kids:
1. What are some things that have happened which left you feeling confused, upset, or disappointed?
2. How can looking back and seeing the good things God has done help when those difficult times come?

Sunday Recap
God is on the move this week—and we’re reminded that we were made for a purpose!
In Genesis 42–50, Joseph faced the brothers who betrayed him. Instead of staying bitter, he forgave them. Why? Because he saw how God used everything—the good and the bad—for His plan.
When life gets tough, we can look back and remember how faithful God has been.
Start a family gratitude journal!
Write down one way you’ve seen God work each day. Over time, you’ll see amazing stories of God working out His purpose in your lives

Sunday’s coming - make it a plan on your calendar right now to be here!
Starting a new series “Hear Me Roar”, in this five-week series, kids will learn important truths from the life of Daniel they'll want to shout (or roar!), like how we don't have to give up and don't have to feel alone. Instead, we can keep learning and not be afraid, even when we don't know the future. Why? Because God is with us!
