JoCo Angels Overdose Awareness and Support is so very honored and excited by the grace of God that we have the opportunity to sponsor a Johnston County woman to begin her journey at CRH Christian Recovery Houses!

We name this scholarship in honor of our angel Ryan Taylor Moore. Please keep the young man entering the program and Ryan's family in prayer!. We pray that God will show His grace, mercy and favor on all who enter these doors and that hearts will be healed and lives will be changed.

Some days I miss Michael so much I can’t breathe! Still after 5 1/2 years! I have come to realize it will never go away! The grief! I will live it til I die!

I’m ok with that! It some how brings me closer to him!

Some days I just live the life I have! I have to!

My life now is really better than it’s had ever been! My business I built the year he died is successful! In spite of my grief!

It is just the truth that God built it! Not me! Most days I was not aware of anything but Losing my son! period.

I still think he will come to my work, I dream of it! Like he use to!

Grief is a funny thing , I never know when it will hit! Some days I can fake it some days I can’t!! It is not predictable! That is what makes it so hard!

Easter brought many memories! Mostly all his friends that I helped get clean are having babies! Lots of them! I see pictures and Michael would have been a great “uncle” to them! He loved Children!

I have prayed all these years to dream about Michael! Finally the other night he came to me in my dreams! He was thinner than I have ever seen him and his face was winkled. Not from age but drug use! His beautiful eyes especially! I knew then if he would have stayed here his life would have been terrible ! Mine too!

But that doesn’t make it better! I miss him!

I am not sure what I’m going to do with this “Chasing Michael”page! I have been quiet for a while! I hope there are mama’s out there that feel what I feel! And I hope there are addicts recovering or still in addiction that see the hurt you are causing your mama and maybe just maybe this will be enough for you to stop. I am sure Michael didn’t know the hurt I will feel the rest of my life!

I have a friend of Michael’s that is homeless and “out there” can anyone help! He is near New Bern Ave and Sheetz in Raleigh! Does anyone knows of a shelter or anywhere he can go ?
