A lot of people don't realize all the brainstorming, playing around, and the big big mess behind design.

This post was originally going to just show one sketch, but a client call the other day made me realize that design is much cooler when you get to walk through the process 😎

Is there anything here that you do in your design process? Or for my non-designer friends, is there anything here that surprised you?

Customized logotype, yes please 🙌🏻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m all about custom type/ lettering so it’s only suitable that my new look is a customized version of “all rounded gothic”- the font of my original logo. It’s kinda cool to see them side by side and see how customizing a font transforms it into something totally new.

My goal for this look is give me the ability to showcase my work and explore different styles while still feeling cohesive. So I needed something simple and distinct (the two main ingredients for any logo) that I can have for a good while.

When I sat down for my new look I wrote down three things “authenticity, vibrancy, and the need to experiment”. These turned into my brand pillars in which I built my site and future content on. I hope this rebrand reflects that and represents the passion behind each design I put out 💛
