Upper School Prize Day brought the year to a close the Stuart way, with intention, gratitude, and recognition of every girl who showed up fully this year. Academic awards were presented to juniors and seniors, and five seniors were awarded the traditional Sacred Heart Goal Awards that reflect both intellectual achievement and character rooted in the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education. In her remarks, Student Government President Annika Alden-Siegel '26 said it best: "Stuart is a place full of light, shining from the Five Goals and reflected in every member of our community." Congratulations to all students honored and celebrated that day. Read the full list of honorees at the link in bio. 💚🤍

At Middle School Prize Day, each grade took a moment to reflect on a year of living the Sacred Heart Goals, and what emerged was a portrait of girls learning to know themselves, challenge themselves, and show up for one another. Fifth graders navigated the leap from Lower School with courage and curiosity. Sixth graders learned that perseverance and community are inseparable. Seventh graders grew into their roles as leaders, choosing grace over conflict and one another over competition. And our eighth graders closed their Middle School chapter much like Ariel herself: ready to leave the familiar behind, voice fully intact, and eyes fixed on what lies beyond the horizon. In his remarks, Mr. Missonis reminded them that the world needs thoughtful, compassionate, courageous young women, and that each of them is part of the cure our society desperately needs. To the Class of 2030: your Middle School faculty will miss you dearly. It is time to go be part of that world. Congratulations! 💚🤍

Prize Day is one of the most cherished traditions in Sacred Heart schools and a joyful close to the year that honors every student's growth. In the Early School, the Fawns and Bunnies were cheered for the leaps they have made as learners and friends. In the Lower School, classes celebrated a year of living out the five Goals of Sacred Heart, and we marked a milestone as our fourth graders officially crossed over to Middle School. Congratulations to all! Photos are now live on Smugmug. 💚🤍

The yearbook dedication is one of Stuart's best-kept secrets, and this year, there was not a dry eye in the room.
The 2026 yearbook, 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, is dedicated to Walt Cupit, theater manager, technical director, and the steadfast force behind nearly every memorable moment at Stuart.
In their dedication, co-editors Taylor States '26 and Hadelyn Martinez Cambero '26 (pictured with Mr. Cupit) spoke of Mr. Cupit's quiet presence and the profound impact he has had on students both on campus and through the Appalachia Service Project.
"While many command the spotlight, Mr. Cupit is the architect of the atmosphere, the silent guardian of our traditions, and the craftsman of our most cherished memories. Whether he is standing sentinel at the soundboard during a theater production, fine-tuning the acoustics for a community assembly, or transforming a blank space into a dance floor, Mr. Cupit is the literal and figurative backbone of every school milestone."
"During the Appalachia Service Project, Mr. Cupit doesn't just lead a service trip, he carries a literal and metaphorical toolbox to some of the most vulnerable communities. As we worked alongside him, we realized those tools weren't just for building houses, they were for building us ... Mr. Cupit taught us that service is strongest when it is communal. He didn’t just hand us a blueprint. He built community through every brick laid, every wood pallet lifted, every shared tear of frustration, and every hard-won completed task."
"Mr. Cupit, it has been an honor to share these halls with you. You have shown us that being a leader doesn't always mean standing in front, but sometimes, it means standing in the back, making sure everyone else has the light they need to shine."
Thank you, Mr. Cupit. 💚🤍
