HiTOPS

We are SO excited to welcome Jaime Bandel Vasquez (they/them) to our HiTOPS family as our new Director of Youth Programs! Here are a few words from Jaime:

I am Jaime Bandel Vasquez, your new Director of Youth Programs! I am so excited to be working at HiTOPS! I am a transgender nonbinary person and use they/them pronouns. I was a high school ESL teacher and have taught in Peru. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I graduated with my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Rutgers University. My two fur babies are Kingston and Taz - cats are my favorite animals. Some of my favorite things to do are read, craft, and bake sourdough bread. I can’t wait to continue HiTOPS’ mission of empowering the LGBTQIA2S+ community!

Support group applications for this school year are open! Do you know an LGBTQ+ middle schooler or high schooler? Our social support groups are for young people who are looking to form community and friendships with other kids like them! The sign up form for groups can be found at the bottom of this webpage:

LGBTQ+ Youth Groups - HiTOPS We believe that all young people have the right to be safe, affirmed, and supported.

This night was made possible in large part by these generous sponsors! Their support (and yours) makes it possible for HiTOPS to offer connection, representation, and FUN!
