For one of our local projects, we’re looking at the tone of this amazing floor by as inspiration.

What stain color would suggest on a white oak floor? That is the stain company we’re using for their plant based, 0% VOC product

This vacation home, designed by Paris-based NeM Architectes () sits on the coast of Brittany.
The original house is the white structure, and the bedroom addition is the dark structure made using the charred wood technique of shot-sugi-ban. The new and old coexist, roof pitches and shapes mirrored, though materials, space and detailing are very different.
