Practical Performance

I can’t even put into words what I’m feeling right now. 16 long years of hunting one of these down. Many years of just falling 1 or 2 places short. 16 years of “well, I guess there’s always next year”.

I’ve always said, “man, if I could just win ONE. Just one…

One finally came…this weekend.

National Champion.

Sounds weird to even say. Maybe it’ll feel more real tomorrow. For now, thank you to every single one of you for your support, friendship, and congratulations wishes! I means the world to me!

I couldn’t be more proud of my brother Tim Herron for coming home with the well deserved Classic Division IPSC National Championship title!!! YEARS of hard work, dedication to the craft, hard fought battles, aggravation, sacrifice, and perseverance all led to this awesome achievement. Congrats my brother!!! No one deserves it more than you! Well earned!!!

Never Forgotten

Awesome trophy from Area 1 Championship arrived! Super neat! I have a history of not putting up trophies (most sit in a box) but this one is definitely getting displayed! Thanks to Gianni Giordano for a fun match! And for actually sending the trophy!

Why the 1911? If you're reading this, it's probably no surprise to you that I am a huge fan of the 1911...(Spoiler Alert!!!) It is what I prefer to work on as a gunsmith as well as what I prefer to use as a shooter. I carry one in some shape or form everyday. What you may be asking yourself is "Why?" We are livin...

Absent for some time, I’ve decided to bring the Blog back to the website. Kicking it off with an oldie, but a goodie. If you’re interested in how to get fast, give it a look!

Let's say you wanted to bench press 300 lbs, four times. I...

Another NAZC is in the books. I was able to pull an overall Single Stack Division win from this match against some really good shooters, which is a great way to start Major Match season for the year! Looking forward to Area 1 Championship in the next few weeks!
