It’s a narrow view… That the only healing form of dance is totally letting go, It’s like saying the only form of expression that’s healing is catharsis. We need to be free to express… But we also need containment. We need to investigate our patterns and see where they come from. What about understanding how and why we move through the world and questioning our patterns? What about understanding the impact of our expression and fine tuning it to better align with our values and beliefs? What about doing the challenging things? I LOVE feel good free form let it all go dancing. But only utilizing that for healing is imbalanced. It feeds into the “prioritizing safety over actually developing capacity” corner of healing (which I’m not about- srry). What’s would you add to this list?? (Pppsssssttttt… join us in the forge for a whole year of exploring this concepts. The ritual movement artist immersion is coming soon. Comment or DM the word DEVOTIONAL to get on the waiting list)

We always want to dance and you are always invited to join us💙(and standing still and letting the music move you from the inside out is quite okay too🎶) Leta will be holding space and sharing her playlists tonight 🌈

Not every dance begins with feeling ease and freedom. Sometimes, freedom is what we find along the way. ✨ There can be something powerful about staying with the awkwardness, the resistance, the vulnerability of being seen… and letting movement slowly soften the edges. You don’t have to arrive feeling open, confident, or ready. Just arrive as you are. The dance can meet you there. 🫶 Join us this Sunday as @chayu_music & @lunarhalomusic take us on a musical dance journey!
