Guest Room Retreat

A guest room designed to make you want to stay a little longer.
Layers of luxury linen-cotton bedding bring softness and comfort to this serene retreat, while linen sheer drapery gently filters the natural light. Subtle grasscloth wallcovering adds warmth and texture, creating a space that feels refined, relaxed, and welcoming.
Because a beautiful guest room should feel like more than a place to sleep—it should feel like an experience.

Sometimes good design is about what you DON’T see coming. 👀

During a recent landscape design, I noticed a potentially serious issue: an elm tree with an aggressive root system located far too close to the home.
I strongly recommended that the tree be removed. And yes… I was pretty insistent about it.
Less than two months later, our newly remodeled bathroom on the same property gave us proof of exactly why.
Tree roots had made their way into the plumbing — and made a rather dramatic appearance through the toilet. 😳
Not exactly the “organic element” we had planned for this bathroom!
This was one of those rare moments when I was very glad I had insisted a tree had to go.
Interior design isn’t only about selecting beautiful finishes. Sometimes it’s about looking at the entire property, anticipating what could go wrong, and protecting the investment you’ve just made.

Antique shopping always hits the top of my list when visiting a little town. There’s just something about hunting for those hidden gems you’d never find anywhere else. 🤎

Like this armoire chest — solid oak, beautifully carved and handcrafted. The weight, the details, the craftsmanship… furniture just isn’t made like this anymore. This piece was built to last forever.
I’m not exactly sure of its age, but I’m guessing somewhere around the 1940s. And honestly, that little bit of mystery is part of the charm.
Old pieces. Beautiful craftsmanship. Stories we may never fully know. That’s what makes the hunt so good.

Organic by design. 🤎

For this new-build bathroom near Sedona, the goal was to create a space that feels warm, grounded, and connected to its surroundings—layering natural textures, earthy tones, and clean lines for a quiet, organic feel.
