Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Royalty

Yesterday, Ellie had the honor of visiting several local fire stations and police stations to thank our first responders for all they do for our communities. Partnering with Turning Point Action, she also had the opportunity to pray over and encourage these incredible men and women who serve and protect us every day.

Later that evening, Ellie and I made it out to the first performance of the West’s Most Western Rodeo in Scottsdale, Arizona! I got to participate in a hot lap, and Ellie and I had a great time selling 50/50 raffle tickets and getting to visit with everyone. It was such a fun evening getting to support the rodeo and be out in the community together!

Friday night, Ellie and I had the opportunity to attend the Arizona Cowboy Poets event at Yavapai College! We had such a wonderful time meeting and surveying people from all across Arizona and even from different parts of the country. It was a great opportunity to connect with people, hear their stories, and learn more about the communities that make our Western way of life so special.

Also, a couple of weeks ago, I also had the opportunity to attend a back-to-school event at Wittmann AG Church. I was so happy to help pass out school supplies and take back-to-school photos with the kids! I am incredibly grateful for every opportunity I have to serve my community, meet new people, and make a positive impact wherever I can.

Hi everybody! My name is Ellie Weeks. I have been riding before I could ever walk! I currently have two horses: a paint named Diva and a mustang named Solaire. My heart horse is Solaire, who I have spent the last four years training to become a queen horse. We have basically been through everything together. I was a Roots N Boots Sweetheart for three years and just finished my reign as their Jr. Teen Queen. I have always dreamed of being a rodeo queen from a very young age. A girl who started my passion was Laurna Grogitsky. She was very welcoming when I was a Sweetheart, and I instantly knew that’s who I wanted to be when I grew up. I have always wanted to serve the rodeo community, but I just didn’t know how. I found that being a rodeo queen can combine my love for kids, my love for riding horses, my love for meeting new people, and feeling confident in my own skin. I love my country life. I love what I do and feel blessed that I get the opportunity to represent Prescott’s community. Outside of rodeo, I love to dance. I only dance for my school, but it brings me so much joy, as well as running for my high school track team. That is just a little bit about your 2027 Prescott Frontier Days Junior Queen.

Ava Brooks is a recent graduate of Wickenburg High School, where she proudly spent the past four years as an active member of the FFA and served as President of the Wickenburg FFA Chapter. She has a deep-rooted passion for agriculture, with a special interest in the cattle industry. Ava plans to pursue a career in agricultural education while also owning and operating her own cattle operation. She is deeply committed to preserving and promoting the Western way of life. Outside of the classroom, Ava enjoys barrel racing and staying actively involved in the sport of rodeo. She is a two time NLBRA Finals Qualifier, a testament to her dedication and competitive spirit in the arena. She cannot wait to continue on with the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo as the 2027 Queen and looks forward to getting the opportunity to get to represent the rodeo further in any way possible.

Two years. 730 days. The best season of my life serving as the 2025 and 2026 Miss Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Queen, proudly representing Prescott Frontier Days, Inc. - World's Oldest Rodeo.

I couldn’t tell you how many miles I’ve traveled, but oh, the places I’ve been. From the top of Idaho to Oregon, and all across the great state of Arizona. News interviews, member meetings, rodeos, pancake breakfasts, parades, community events and so much more. Every mile led to a new adventure, a new lesson, or a new friend. Countless laughs, unforgettable stories, and memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

This crown has been so much more than a title. It has challenged me, humbled me, and helped me grow into a stronger woman, leader, and ambassador for the sport of rodeo. It gave me the privilege of sharing the history and traditions of Prescott Frontier Days while meeting people whose kindness and encouragement have left a lasting mark on my heart.

People often say that queening creates lifelong friendships that eventually become family, and that couldn’t be more true with Prescott Frontier Days. Every member, board member, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter has become family along the way. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, believing in me, and making these last two years more special than I ever could have imagined.

To the board, Jim, my director, and my coordinators—thank you for trusting me with this incredible opportunity. Your guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support have meant more than words can express. My life is better because of each and every one of you, and I will forever be grateful.

To my family and friends, thank you for every early morning, every late night, every mile on the road, every encouraging phone call, and for cheering me on through it all. None of this would have been possible without your love and support.

To Ava and Ellie, oh, the places you’ll go and the people you’ll meet. I can’t wait to watch this journey shape your lives just as it has shaped mine. Embrace every opportunity, soak in every moment, and never take a single day for granted.
