The SAR is a "lineage" society.
This means that each member has traced his family tree back to a point of having an ancestor who supported the cause of American Independence during the years 1774-1783. "The SAR is a historical, educational, and patriotic non-profit, United States 501(c)3, corporation that seeks to maintain and extend
* the institutions of American freedom
* an appreciation for true patriotism
* respect for our national symbols
* the value of American citizenship
* the unifying force of e Pluribus Unum that has created, from the people of many nations, one nation, and one people. We do this by perpetuating the stories of patriotism, courage, sacrifice, tragedy, and triumph of the men who achieved the independence of the American people in belief that these stories are universal ones of man's eternal struggle against tyranny, relevant to all time, and will inspire and strengthen each succeeding generation as it too is called upon to defend our freedoms on the battlefield and in our public institutions." This Facebook group is not an official group sponsored by the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (“NSSAR”), or any an affiliated entity, although the NSSAR has granted permission to use the name “Sons of the American Revolution” for the group. However, Compatriots who are members of the NSSAR who do use this group are expected to abide by the ethical rules of the Society, and postings not in keeping with the mission, purposes, and goals of the Society maybe removed by the administrator.

The guest speaker for the September 12, 2026, membership meeting was Darlene Wilson, Owner of Tours of Prescott; Haunted Prescott Tours and Historical Tours. Topic is "Haunting of Prescott," in which she discussed the various places in Prescott that are presumed to be haunted. She has written a couple of books including "Haunting Mining Towns of Arizona."

Saturday was our official start of our fall meetings. To get things started we inducted two new members in to the Prescott Chapter.

First photos is John Heiney, formerly served community outreach and economic development and tourism director for the city of Prescott and now works for the town of Wickenburg as Community Services Department director. His wife, Sheri Heiney is the President and CEO of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce.
Second photo is Michael and Julia Ebenhoch. Michael is a registered investment financial advisor currently at PNC Wealth Management.
We like to congratulate both on their acceptance in the Sons of the American Revolution.

Remember tomorrow at noon, we start our monthly meetings again at the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott.. We'll have two new members being inducted plus out guest speaker for the month.

Congratulations goes out to Scratch and Charlie Thompson, as they just got approved for 11 supplementals between the two.
Their Patriots are, Ebenezer Witter, Asa Witter, Ebenezer Bass, Erza Kinne, Zach Waldo, Jonathan Hastings. They also have submitted 3 more patriots to be approved each. Good Luck gents.

Happy Birthday America! The Prescott Rodeo Parade on the 4th was a success. Thanks to all who marched with us and everyone who came out to support the parade.

Our SAR Compatriot Tim Prater was honored by Representative Eli Crane, at the Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County meeting in recognition of General U. S. Grant Camp No. 3, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
