Today, June 19, 2026, we joyfully celebrate Juneteenth, a significant milestone marking the end of slavery in the United States. On this day in 1865, Union General Gordon Granger announced the Emancipation Proclamation, paving the way for freedom. Juneteenth also inspires us to champion health equity, expand access to preventive care and mental health services, and strengthen community trust, particularly in Black communities facing health disparities. Today and every day, let’s come together to uplift and empower one another.
