Orientation sessions are wrapping up which means one thing: the start of the fall semster is right around the corner. Are you ready?

The Math & Science Center team and CSTEP Summer Bridge program wrapped up their final session with hands-on learning and great conversations about college success.

CSTEP Students worked with MASC peer tutors to learn how to get the most from their math and science textbooks, effective study strategies for STEM courses, and methods to reduce test anxiety.

A little review each day can make a big difference! We're proud of these students for investing in their future and building skills that will support them all semester long. 🌟

Faculty from the Visual Arts program met with interested students and parents at a Meet and Greet event last week.

We are thrilled to announce a new Guaranteed Pathway program with Purchase College, SUNY This agreement establishes a clear path for acceptance and enrollment for DCC grads, allowing eligible alumni to transfer to SUNY Purchase with junior standing.

As part of the agreement, SUNY Purchase will also refer freshman applicants that were not accepted and notify them of their eligibility for the Guaranteed Pathway Program through DCC.

But that's not all - today we unveiled the Center for Arts and Performance Excellence at DCC– an academic and programmatic pathways model for students with an interest in visual and performing arts, media/communications arts and humanities.

A new exhibit is up in the Mildred I. Washington Art Gallery. Stop by and experience "Uncollage."

The exhibit expands the idea of collage beyond cut paper and glue, showing a wide range of approaches to breaking images apart and reassembling them in new ways across different materials.

You can also join the artists and Todd Bartel, who coined the term “Uncollage,” for a reception and talk on July 24 from 3–6 p.m.

Regular summer gallery hours are Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
