​A big part of my creative block was with experimenting with post-processing my images. Creating a production workflow that worked with my style of photography seemed to be impossible; my vision for what makes great color for a portrait changed with the seasons. 
​
​What I discovered was this: While I have a creative voice and I love to express it, I haven't pinned down what it is specifically. Does it even need to be specific? Or can it change like the colors of the seasons. Either way, I'm happy with what I came up with when working with last spring. I'm excited to share more from this shoot, but here's a preview of some of my favorite frames.

I’m not going to lie, 2021 was a year of creative bankruptcy for me. While I consider myself blessed being able to work in a creative field during a global pandemic, I suppressed all of my good ideas and became complacent in everything that I do, both creatively and personally. From neglecting this page, my relationships with family and friends, my mental and physical health, I’ve become more isolated then ever. This upcoming year, I do have a plan for this page and for my work; simply put, I’m going to post whatever the f*ck I want. I’m done worrying about what other people think about my work; I don’t have the time for it. I have so much to give to people; if I don’t use my gift then I’m a selfish pr*ck. For those who have followed and stayed with me over the past few years, thank you. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been cooking up in my head and what I have planned for the months and years ahead. With only a week left before daylight saving kicks in, it was a perfect time to take these two cuties out for a fun evening of portraits out in Post Falls. To say that their love is contagious is an understatement as their fun-loving spirits made this a photo-session one to remember. When fall was just around the corner a few weeks ago I decided to take my work partner and his family out for a fun early morning of shooting. Despite the cold weather, we had a blast taking these portraits and I can't wait to take more family portraits in the near future!

When I first asked Michala Hampton to be one of the first people to be photographed, she was super ecstatic to help me out. My one condition was that we needed to photograph her adorable pug alongside Michala, which she happily agreed to! I'm super excited to share this photoshoot with y'all and I can't wait to be apart of more photoshoots like these!
