Scott Community Center prepares participants to stretch dollar at independent record stores. Turn on/off turntables, mixers and PA sound systems in correct sequence so they don’t blow up. Plenty of time to practice cross-fades, needle-drops and scratching. The goal: build ½-hour sets to perform at parks’ underground roller rink, drive teen traffic to hear friends’ DJ sets while skating. Successful students are invited to DJ adaptive & inclusive dances, should post mixes to Mixcloud and apply for local independent radio positions!
Biz Markie shall be sorely missed but, more importantly, fondly remembered
